I2X Technologies is seeking a Cloud Systems Administrator to support ongoing activities for a customer in Huntsville, AL. This position will be hybrid/ and will require an active Secret clearance.

 

  • Design, configure, install, and maintain cloud systems, servers, and networks in mixed Windows and RedHat/Unix environments.
  • Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to ensure high availability, scalability, and efficiency.
  • Implement and enforce security policies, manage user access and permissions, and ensure the infrastructure complies with relevant data protection regulations.
  • Set up user accounts, manage cloud resources, balance workloads, and provide technical support to end-users.
  • Develop and implement backup and disaster recovery plans to protect data and ensure business continuity.
  • Evaluate and implement cost-effective cloud solutions and identify opportunities to optimize cloud resource spending.
  • Diagnose and resolve operational issues, network connectivity problems, and security breaches within the cloud environment.
  • Write scripts, such as PowerShell, to automate tasks like user provisioning, resource deployment, and system maintenance.
  • Work closely with IT departments, network administrators, and other teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of cloud services.
  • Stay updated on new cloud technologies, evaluate their suitability, and implement them to meet organizational needs. 

Qualifications

  • 8 years of professional experience
  • Security+ Certification or obtain within 90-days of start.
  • U.S. Citizenship required
  • Final Secret clearance
  • Demonstrated experience in Establishing a Cloud Infrastructure
  • Demonstrated experience in Maintaining a Cloud infrastructure
  • Demonstrated experience in one or more of the following: Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Ansible or similar technology
  • Demonstrated experience in one or more of the following: Using Azure/AWS or similar technology
  • Demonstrated experience in one or more of the following: Linux Servers, DNS servers, Domain controllers, network storage devices and HP or Dell servers
  • 3+ Years’ experience with Linux Operating System Administration (i.e., RHEL8, etc.)
  • Demonstrated experience designing, configuring, and installing information systems such as routers, servers, switches, storage systems and laptops.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills

Desired:

  • Demonstrated experience with RHEL 8
  • Demonstrated experience with RHEL 9
  • Demonstrated experience deploying the complete DevSecOps lifecycle including integration of build pipelines, automated deployments, and compliance scanning using test driven development.
  • Experience with vulnerability remediation and security management (system hardening, log management, configuration management (i.e., Nessus, McAfee, WSUS, Splunk, ACAS, SCAP, HBSS, etc.))
  • Experience with Virtualization (i.e., VMware, Horizon, vSphere, vCenter, vSAN)
  • Experience with Risk Management Framework (RMF) Requirements and Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) Implementation
  • Demonstrated experience in the deployment, automated deployments, and compliance scanning using test driven development.
  • Demonstrated experience with issue tracking tools such as Gitlab/Jira/Agility.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will regularly sit, walk, stand and climb stairs and steps. May require walking long distance from parking to work station. Occasionally, movement that requires twisting at the neck and/or trunk more than the average person, squatting/ stooping/kneeling, reaching above the head, and forward motion will be required. The employee will continuously be required to repeat the same hand, arm, or finger motion many times. Manual and finger dexterity are essential to this position. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, depth perception and telling differences among colors. The employee must be able to communicate through speech with clients and public. Hearing requirements include conversation in both quiet and noisy environments. Lifting may require floor to waist, waist to shoulder, or shoulder to overhead movement of up to 20 pounds. This position demands tolerance for various levels of mental stress.
