I2X Technologies is seeking a Systems Administrator to support ongoing activities for a customer in Colorado Springs, CO. This position will be*on-site* and will require an active Secret. 

• Maintain smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network administrators
• Responsible for administration and maintenance of Red Hat Linux servers
• Install and configure Red Hat Linux operating systems: RHEL 6/7
• Ensure compliance with computer security policy, Risk Management Framework (RMF)
• Set up administrator and service accounts
• Maintain system documentation
• Tune system performance
• Install system wide software and allocate mass storage space
• Interact with users and evaluates vendor products
• Make recommendations to purchase hardware and software
• Coordinate installation and provides backup recovery
• Develop and monitor policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources 

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education with minimum 3 years of experience
• Strong 3+ years experience with Red Hat Linux administration
• 3+ years experience with VMWare administration
• Ability to apply Operating System and antivirus updates and WSUS patching/updates.
• Familiarity with network architecture including routers, switches, firewalls, and routing protocols
• Exceptional troubleshooting skills
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity practices (patch management, STIG compliance, system accreditation, etc.
• Knowledge and experience with satellite communications technology architecture; Experience troubleshooting SATCOM and IP network problems
• GPS Experience
• 8570 (Security +) Certified
• Red Hat Certified Systems Administrator (RHCSA) or Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) will receive priority
