I2X Technologies is seeking a Hardware Engineer to support ongoing activities for a customer in Highlands Ranch, CO. This position will be Hybrid, on site 3 days/week.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Provide hardware engineering support, including design, procurement, integration, testing, and verification of hardware systems
  • Basic hardware design, cable design, and procurement activities
  • Perform laboratory tests for hardware debug, oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, and protocol analyzers
  • Debug electronics, integrate software
  • Develop engineering drawings such as for electrical schematics and assemblies
  • Cable and harness design
  • Electronic circuit design
  • Perform full hardware development lifecycle: requirements, design, development, integration and test, and maintenance

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience providing hardware engineering design and support, preferably in an aerospace or satellite environment
  • Bachelors degree in a related field
  • Experience writing and executing test procedures
  • Experience using laboratory test equipment for hardware debug
  • Experience developing engineering drawings
  • Broad range of electronic circuit design experience in areas such as analog, digital, microcontroller, Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs), and power supply circuits.
  • Expeirence in hardware/software integration and troubleshooting

 

Desired Experience and Skills

  • Experience programming Xilinx FPGAs with VHDL or Verilog.

  • Experience with hardware development life-cycle: requirements, design, development, integration and test, and maintenance.
  • Experience with software configuration management tools such as Git or Subversion. Procurement system knowledge.
  • Willingness to learn new environments and work independently in a fast-paced development environment.
  • Experience with Unix and/or Linux environments
  • Broad range of electronic circuit design experience in areas such as analog, digital, microcontroller, Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs), and power supply circuits.

The employee will continuously be required to repeat the same hand, arm, or finger motion many times. Manual and finger dexterity are essential to this position. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, depth perception and telling differences among colors. The employee must be able to communicate through speech with clients and public. Hearing requirements include conversation in both quiet and noisy environments. Lifting may require floor to waist, waist to shoulder, or shoulder to overhead movement of up to 20 pounds. This position demands tolerance for various levels of mental stress.
