I2X Technologies is seeking an Engineering Planner.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Support the development and creation of detailed engineering release plans and supplemental schedules using Microsoft Project Server. Schedules will plan and track each engineering product that is released by the end of the program.
  • Create What if and risk mitigation models within the schedules as required
  • Support daily, weekly, monthly process of keeping schedule maintained from a date, % complete, and % work complete standpoint
  • Use DCMA best practices when developing schedules and maintain their schedules within DCMA compliance
  • Support daily, weekly, monthly schedule status meetings with IPT leads, engineers, and CAMs
  • Work with the donstream consumer of engineering products, and ocmunicate changes to engineering schedule on a regular basis starting at the front end with the Advanced Product Structure Process through and throughout the PDR and CDR life cycle of the program via the Demand Management Process
  • Support Program Planning by supporting schedule merge meetings between Engineering Planning and Program Planning, ensuring vertical tracability to the IMS and supporting the IPT, CAMs and Program Planning with Quantifiable Backup Data support

 

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Proficient user of Microsoft Project, with 5-10 years of use (in the Aerospace or Defense industry a plus).
  • Current user of Microsoft Project in a planning role, or within the last 12 months.
  • Experience with DCMA best practices, DECM Metrics and Compliance.
  • Experience working with Engineering and the Engineering release process.
  • Ability to identify a critical path in a schedule, and conduct an SRA as required.
  • Experience building compliant supplemental schedules that integrate with an IMS and be aware of the “no, no’s” i.e. not linking summary tasks.
  • Experience with taking real schedule status and doing “what if” modeling.  Not just hitting “on Track”.
  • Experience with building QBD as part of Earned Value Management.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, depth perception and telling differences among colors. The employee must be able to communicate through speech with clients and public. Hearing requirements include conversation in both quiet and noisy environments. Lifting may require floor to waist, waist to shoulder, or shoulder to overhead movement of up to 20 pounds. This position demands tolerance for various levels of mental stress.
