We are seeking a Schriever SFB Site Lead (Project Manager IT/Cyber) to support our customer’s operations in Colorado Springs, CO. This effort provides our government customer with cybersecurity support services. This position will be on-site and will require an active TS/SCI Clearance. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Developing content for cyber defense tools, characterizing and analyzing network traffic to identify threats, and coordinating with defense staff to validate network alerts
  • Ensuring the effectiveness of cybersecurity products, documenting and escalating incidents, performing trend analysis, and conducting risk analyses and feasibility studies
  • Monitoring system compliance, identifying and testing new security tools, implementing data management standards, developing countermeasures, and recommending vulnerability corrections
  • Isolating malware, analyzing network anomalies, constructing signatures for cyber defense tools, and developing cybersecurity policies and architectures

Qualifications

Essential Requirements:

  • US Citizenship
  • Active TS/SCI Clearance

Required Experience:

  • Minimum twelve (12) years related experience
  • Experience in cybersecurity topics, including fundamental concepts and protocols in computer networking, risk management processes, and cybersecurity principles and ethics. In addition, their knowledge must encompass understanding of cyber threats and vulnerabilities, incident response methodologies, and network security architecture
  • Familiarity in specific areas, such as operating systems, database management, encryption algorithms, system life cycle management, software development life cycle, and penetration testing principles
  • Comprehensive knowledge base is essential for managing and securing information systems, analyzing network traffic, and responding to cybersecurity incidents effectively
  • Skills in developing and deploying signatures, detecting host and network-based intrusions using intrusion detection technologies like Snort, and determining how a security system should work, including its resilience and dependability capabilities
  • Adept at evaluating the adequacy of security designs, using incident handling methodologies and protocol analyzers, and protecting networks against malware
  • Skilled in conducting vulnerability scans, data searches, and trend analysis, as well as recognizing vulnerabilities in security systems and analyzing malicious activity to determine weaknesses and exploitation methods

Education and Certifications:

  • A Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited college or university
  • FITSP-A, FITSP-M, GFACT, GSEC, GSLC, CCE

The employee will continuously be required to repeat the same hand, arm, or finger motion many times. Manual and finger dexterity are essential to this position. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, depth perception and telling differences among colors. The employee must be able to communicate through speech with clients and the public. Hearing requirements include conversation in both quiet and noisy environments. Lifting may require floor to waist, waist to shoulder, or shoulder to overhead movement of up to 20 pounds. This position demands tolerance for various levels of mental stress.
