Our programs support multiple Federal agencies, including the Department of Defense. We are seeking a Principal Software Engineer to support our customer’s operations in Dahlgren, Virginia. This effort provides our Government customer with software support services. This position will be on-site and will require an active Secret Clearance. 

Responsibilities:

• Develop/verify software specifications and requirements and develop support system software capabilities, features, and enhancements
• Plan, and perform software design, coding, and testing
• Work in an adaptive Agile environment and design, build, and maintain software
• Communicate risks, ideas, issues, and status to program PM

Essential Requirements:

• US Citizenship
• Active Secret Clearance

Required Experience:

• Minimum fifteen (15) years since award of Bachelor’s degree, or Minimum twelve (12) years since award of Master’s degree, or Minimum eight (8) years since award of PhD degree
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience performing detailed and complex software design and development meeting sub millisecond timing requirements
• Minimum of ten (10) years of program/project level experience software design and development experience for DOD sensor or weapon systems with a minimum of 200,000 Source Lines of Code (SLOC)

Education and Certifications:

• A Bachelor’s degree from a school of engineering with at least one curriculum accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) as a professional engineering curriculum in one of the following fields: Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineer, Electronics Engineering, or Software Engineering

OR

• A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in one of the following fields of study: Mathematics, Computer Science, or Physics
